5 tips for a stress-free back to school

PLAN your success this school year!

Going back to school after the unstructured, sticky days of summer can be a jarring transition! Luckily, we've assembled some of our team's favorite trips for getting into the swing of things in the new school year!

1. Include the kids in back to school shopping!

While every teacher likely gives you a list of must-haves, allow your kids to show their personality by picking colors and patterns on notebooks and folders that they'll enjoy using!

2. Brainstorm fun activities for the bus or car ride to & from school

If you're gearing up for a long commute, brainstorm fun activities to keep them organized and having fun on the journey!

3. Set up a playdate before school starts so they already have a friend going in!

If your child is starting a new school or going into a grade where they don't know too many people, reach out and arrange a playdate with another student before the school year even begins. This way, they have a friend going into the year!

4. Start a special tradition (Donuts or breakfast in bed guarantees a sweet start!)

Give them something fun to look forward to! Whether you wake up early for their favorite diner breakfast, serve them donuts in bed or simply their favorite cereal, make it something they look forward to!

5. Don't forget the first day photo!

It's always so hectic on the first morning, but don't forget to snap a pic! These first day of school photos are a great way to see how much they've grown over the years! To make things easier on you, we've created our very own printable so you can get that great shot with minimal effort!
