Some day. When your kids are little, you think about “some day” a lot. Some day she’ll ride a bike. Some day she’ll graduate. Some day she’ll get married. But at the time you never actually think that some day will get here…and then it does. A year ago, my daughter Sarah got engaged to a wonderful young man, and some day became real. And then another reality hit: wedding planning! I knew we’d need help to navigate all of the details of wedding planning – the lists and the vendors and the timeline – all to fit within a budget!
The very first thing we did was order an Erin Condren wedding planner! Already a huge fan of the Erin Condren LifePlanner™, I knew that a wedding planner would help Sarah and I navigate all of the details involved in planning a wedding. Initially, the wedding planner was a tangible reminder that this was real – it was really happening! And then it became a faithful helper guiding us through the myriad of checklists and considerations involved in pulling off a 21st century wedding! Our favorite part of the wedding planner is the timeline breakdown – we’ve followed it faithfully and it has kept both Sarah and I sane.
We’re less than 2 months away from the big day now , most of our checklists are complete, we’re down to the final details and it feels great! Everyone always asks how wedding planning is going, or if I’m stressed about all the details, and I can honestly say that I’m not stressed at all! I’m overjoyed for my daughter and my future son-in-law. Half the battle is being able to navigate all of the choices with some kind of direction, and the wedding planner has been that guide for us!
As we turn the corner from planning to reality, one of the considerations before us has been what kind of gift to get Sarah’s bridesmaids. Each of them is so special to both Sarah and I, and we knew we wanted a gift that would reflect their personalities – something beautiful, yet practical for each of them. They each vary quite a bit in age: students as young as elementary schoolers to college undergrads and even a new mom! We wanted to find something that met our practical needs as well as provided something pretty to gift these special women.
We decided to do a one-stop bridesmaid gift shop from the EC website, so we could find varied gifts as unique as each bridesmaid’s personality! We couldn’t be more excited to share these gifts with Sarah’s four bridesmaids – young ladies that each have been such a blessing and given so much to help Sarah forward.
The designer tote seemed like a perfect choice – not only could we customize the design to reflect each of the girls’ preferences, but we thought it would be useful on the wedding day – for bringing toiletries, water bottles and other needs for the day. Plus, it’s perfect for after the wedding, for college classes, dance classes, or mommy-ing around town!
The travel mugs were too adorable to pass up- perfect for keeping water fresh and cool as we move from the church to the reception! Sarah and I loved customizing a set of note cards and address labels for each of the girls! It adds such a pretty touch that the note cards can coordinate with all the other accessories in the girls’ gift set.
The luxe clutch gives our gift collection a sophisticated touch – it can be used in so many different ways, and adding the initials in gold to each of the clutches makes it such a personal gift from Sarah! We decided that an Erin Condren gift package just wouldn’t be complete without a signature notebook with snap-in StylizedSticky notes, and the addition of pretty pens to top it off!
One of Sarah’s bridesmaids happens to be her 9-year-old sister, and a luxe clutch just didn’t seem to fit for her age. Instead, we created a customized gift package just for her – the striped heart design fits her cheery personality perfectly, and a tote, journal, pens and sticker book are the ideal accompaniments!

As I count down the days in my LifePlanner™, and Sarah faithfully marks them down in her wedding planner, I am so thankful that I have both of these books to simultaneously help organize the to-do’s, as well as giving me a memory book for after the “i do’s!” Welcome some day , I’m ready for you.
