We’re honored to announce that we will be partnering with DonorsChoose.org during this year’s Back to School season. For every Teacher’s Lesson Planner sold now through August 31st, we will be donating $1 to projects of YOUR choosing. At the beginning of September, we will open up a nomination period in which we will ask you, our customers, to nominate projects on the DonorsChoose.org platform that you think are deserving of being funded. The Erin Condren staff will then select projects from those nominations and other projects near and dear to our hearts to fund using the money raised.
We selected DonorsChoose.org based off of feedback we heard from our customer base and because we love that they make it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Ultimately, they are helping move us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education.

When I was first approached to keynote the inaugural Geaux Wild conference in New Orleans, I was SO excited. One of our company initiatives this year is to get out and meet as many of our fabulous fans as possible, so this made for an easy decision in sponsoring the conference, and bringing our fab marketing team on the road for the party!
We all met at LAX, and of course we won the most stylish luggage at the airport award. We’re asked quite often if we are going to carry luggage again, and we may…. we just have a few other exciting projects to conquer before revisiting that realm.
We landed in New Orleans and embraced the humidity as we drove to the hotel. We could not have prepared for our arrival in our wildest dreams. The hotel lobby was filled with hundreds of attendees who welcomed us with so much joy. These amazing women all use their planners to manage their lives in a different way, and it was incredible to hear the different stories of how we help them stay organized. After a few selfies and hugs, we headed to our rooms.
That night we headed out to Peche for an amazing seafood dinner and cocktails. We enjoyed Bourbon Street, O’Brien’s, and we were even caught in a flash storm. We seriously were soaked to the bones, and arrived back at the hotel like drowned rats! The lobby was again filled with amazing fans that wanted to meet us all, and we were happy to hug, chat, and take ‘mascara running down our faces’ selfies with them.
Geaux Wild day 1, was incredible. We were blown away with the professionalism of the conference, the charge of energy in a room of 450 smart women, and we realized that we had found our people! Planner Nerds Unite! We enjoyed the day listening to the various speakers, meeting so many of our customers and fans in person (beats email communication any day), and answering questions about our products.
Friday evening was very special. A handful of girls that we have worked with for years were also attending the conference. We knew we had to do something special to show our appreciation of their hard work, and to finally get to know them, outside of an email inbox. We planned an intimate dinner at Emeril’s and together, we all celebrated our journey, made personal connections, and toasted to future endeavors. It was a very special evening. I even shared my engagement story to #foxyhilary (I saw online somewhere that he had his own hashtag… ha!), we lamented the challenges that we’ve faced as a growing business, and shared a ‘Cheers!’ tradition (we’ll save that for another blog post!) and we ate, drank, celebrated, and gave party favors to all!
Saturday was also fantastic. This was the day of my keynote speech and I was blown away by the support and warmth I felt from the room of over 400 like-minded, beautiful, strong women. Also, shoutout to Jen Dufore who spoke before me, your speech was AMAZING! It was such an inspiring afternoon, and the party was just getting started.
We were still on a high from the keynote, but had a lot of work to do to prepare for the grand finale…. PlanJama! We set up a lounge to view the new LifePlanner™ collection, blew up massive balloons, added our products to the tables, and set up a meet and greet area. We headed out for a quick dinner and then raced back to our rooms to put on our matching mid-century circle PJ’s that were made especially for this event!
We arrived at Planjama and the party was in full swing. We spent the night dancing, mingling, taking selfies, and greeting all of the attendees. It was SO much fun and I can officially say – all parties should require pajamas.
We were a little slow getting up on Sunday… we packed, ate one last amazing New Orleans meal (obvi), grabbed beignets from Café Du Monde, and headed to the airport.
Thank you so much to the Geaux Wild organizers for having us and making us feel so welcome. We were truly touched to meet each and every attendee at the conference, and we’re looking forward to taking our party on the road again soon!
This year’s wash of watercolors in our colorful classic interior is arguably our prettiest palette ever! Not like I’m biased, or anything 😉 Seriously y’all, the monthly shades we selected coordinate perfectly with the seasons. You don’t need to ask me twice to throw a party… so when my team came up with the brilliant idea to host a press event showcasing our new LifePlanner™, I was immediately sold. We reserved a serene space at the amazing new restaurant, Au Fudge in West Hollywood and began the party prep. We knew there had to be food, flowers and FUN, and so there was just that. Mixed summertime blooms in bright corals, pinks and yellows brought the LifePlanner™ party to life one pop of color at a time.
As the intimate group of influencers started to trickle in, the room began to beam with excitement and chatter of which layout each attendee had chosen. We pre-printed each gal’s book to ensure she was ready to rock her new LifePlanner™ look upon arrival.
We even set up a DIY decorating desk for attendee’s to stage a snapchat or start filling out their new book!
Planning is hard work, so we made sure all attendees we’re fueled up for a long day of chatting and planning with light bites and sweet treats. Mini waffles and tea sandwiches made for a delightfully delicious afternoon.
All that was left was for our guests to go home and start planning. It was such a pleasant afternoon showcasing our new LifePlanner™ collection and getting to know a few of the gals we work with and appreciate so dearly. We can definitely say the event was a success and we can’t wait for the next!

There are certainly more important decisions to be made in life, but I think most will agree that choosing whether or not to cut bangs is not an easy one. It’s no secret that I’m swayed by current fashion trends and get tired of the same look. I’ve had a zillion hair changes in just the past few years and I never really sweated the decisions. Bleach the tips platinum? Sure, why not? Cut it short? Yes, please! Try life as a blonde? Sure, let’s do it! But when it came to cutting bangs, I just couldn’t pull the trigger.
I actually bought “fake bangs” from VogueWigs.com just to try them out for a while. My family thought it was soooo creepy that I had bangs in my car, just in case I felt like clipping them in on my way to the office. I often asked other people to try them on to give me perspective and even went so far as putting them on my friend’s dog.
After what seemed like years of deliberating, I finally decided to go for it. It has taken months to get used to the “fringe” that hangs in my eyes and there are days that I feel like I have a hair helmut on! I’m not one to fuss over my hair during the day, but bangs need constant attention or they split, curl up and especially on rainy days, just stick to my forehead. I must say, I was happy to see Taylor Swift in her adorable bangs on The Grammys, but I’m still not sure this is the right look for me.
While at dinner with my “besties” recently, my friend came clean and said, “I’m just not loving this new look on you!” I really appreciate her honesty and she was not being rude or a mean girl, she just said she missed my eyebrows and expressions that are covered by my forehead fringe. SOOOOO, here I am again perplexed: Grow out my bangs? Or keep cutting them? My husband is really over the debate, so I thought I could just vent to y’all reading the blog!
We have so many new features and exciting new accessories, it’s been tough to decide what to “sneak” without giving too much away! As #VIPlanners, you get the first glimpse inside the book… and we hope you like what you see! All year we had people asking, “what is the best pen to use on the dashboards?” Well, guess what? We spent all year developing the cutest set of Wet Erase Markers the world has ever seen! Ok, so I might be a bit biased, but I am SO excited to finally be able to sell these beauties, perfect for using on any snap-in dashboard. Just like the pens used on transparencies for overhead projectors, these markers will stay on until you want to wipe them off. Unlike DRY Erase markers, these WET Erase Markers don’t smudge off easily. Just wipe away with water when you are ready to start fresh again.
Speaking of dashboards… we obviously have to launch with a stunning new one that features “Midcentury Circles” design elements found throughout the LifePlanner™ Stylized Organizer. Clip it in, plan it out and use Wet Erase Markers to make note of what to do today and wipe away (with water) in time for tomorrow!

Another EC organization tool I love is my LifePlanner™, which is critical to keep track important dates and deadlines for teacher products, meetings or blog posts.
I pride myself in being organized at school, too. I feel that an organized classroom sets the tone to help the whole class run smoothly! One way I like to do this is by using these copy clips with my parent volunteers. I just pin these onto my master copy and done! All the directions needed are right on the pin. No post-its or pieces of paper with directions are necessary. And the best part is that they are reusable and last ALL YEAR LONG! Genius, I tell you! I even write my copy code on the back of the clothespin so they have it on hand.
