Summer is finally here, and there’s so much going on! Thank you for carving out space for our quarterly updates. From Uvalde community outreach to grants for teachers to our latest giveback collections, there’s a lot in Q2 we want to share with you.

Giving Back

Community Outreach

Our D&I Council’s Community Outreach and leadership teams continue to work together to give back to underserved communities and those like Uvalde that experience sudden, unimaginable loss. To hopefully share some joy in a very dark place, we donated Teacher Lesson Planners for all the Robb Elementary teachers, diaries and journals for all the students, and school supplies. If you would like to help, please visit the Uvalde Moving Forward Foundation.

Education

In April, we launched our Educators Grant to help teachers in need of additional school supplies, books, and technology. Three finalists were awarded $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place, and $2,000 for third place (totaling $10,000).

We also partnered with ID.me to offer our first-ever special discount for teachers: 10% off our teacher collection during Teacher Lesson Planner launch week, and an evergreen offer of $10 off your first purchase of $35+ for ID.me-verified teachers. Educators can learn more and claim this offer at erincondren.com/teacher-offer

Giveback Collections

This quarter, we introduced two more collections in our ongoing Heritage and Awareness Months series to spotlight and support diverse artists and give back to charities that share our values around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Pride Month

In May, we launched our second annual Pride Month Collection, featuring colorful, inspirational designs by artists Rae Senarighi and Ramzy Masri, giving back 35% of the net proceeds through the end of June 2022 to the nonprofit The Trevor Project. Net proceeds for this collection equate to at least $2 per item sold, with a minimum contribution of $25,000. Please see our EC Gives Back page for further details.

Representation is important and so is amplification. That’s why we love to see the press featuring some of the artists we spotlight, like Ramzy Masri’s design, For the Fern of It, featured in Oprah Daily!

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

In April, we introduced our second annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Collection, featuring rich, beautiful designs by artists Cynthia Koo and Lauren Hom, giving back 35% of the net proceeds to AAPI Women Lead through May 2022.

Here’s a note from Connie Wun, the co-founder of AAPI Women Lead, shared in response to the donation generated by this collection:

“Thank you again for the coordination and support! We really appreciate that you have been and are a part of our community. Your support will help us to purchase PPE for our elders, host community safety trainings, and will help us with our #ImReady2022 event!”

We also love that featured artist Cynthia Koo’s company Wonton in a Million and our collaborative Dimsum Steam Team LifePlanner™ were featured in 22 Asian American Businesses to Support Today & Every Day!

Your Purchase Matters

These giveback collections are made possible by your support. And while the above heritage months and donation periods have ended, the collections are still available and continue to support the featured artists for a full year. You can shop all our giveback collections at EC Gives Back.

Next Steps

Back to School

As back-to-school season approaches, we’re gearing up to launch a huge collection of fun, functional, joyful organization essentials for everyone, including new must-haves for fans of Star Wars, Hello Kitty, and new partners (stay tuned)!

We’re also working with local schools, organizations, and communities in need to continue donating school supplies for students and teachers ahead of the new school year.

Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month

For our next Heritage Month collection, our team is preparing a gorgeous, new giveback collection featuring incredible and inspired designs by talented Hispanic and Latinx artists.

Calendar Season

We can’t wait to share all the beautiful, new 2023 planners and calendars we designed to truly help you reduce stress and reach your goals, leading to a more meaningful, fulfilling life through organization!

We look forward to sharing more updates after Q3 and hope you find time this summer to unplug, de-stress, and make self-care a part of your daily routine.
