We are disappointed to share that after an ongoing series of COVID-19 lockdown measures affecting key retail locations in Australia, design and stationery brand kikki.K entered voluntary administration. In 2020, EC Design acquired kikki.K from voluntary administration to save the brand from liquidation. Since that time, we have worked closely with the kikki.K team to reopen their stores and reinstate their e-commerce. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has continued longer than anyone could have predicted and lockdown measures are impacting retail businesses in all sectors, particularly in Australia. kikki.K offers fantastic products that “inspire and empower people the world over to live their best life every day,” and we will strive to find a path forward for the brand.
While we are very saddened by this news, it’s important to know that this voluntary administration in no way reflects the health of EC Design as the two brands are completely separate. This is, unfortunately, a reflection of how COVID-19 lockdown measures are impacting retail sales in all sectors, particularly in Australia. The Erin Condren brand is seeing strong growth, and we look forward to continuing to grow our business and bringing beautiful, purposeful products to life for our customers.
