yes, i’m a tent camper! each year we reserve spots in San Onofre, CA thru www.reserveamerica.com. We set up our tents and mobile kitchen, (yes, we bring my husband’s catering trailer!) at the campsites in San Mateo. It has become a tradition with several families and I can honestly say it is our favorite vacation of the year. No room service, no TVs, no Pool boy (which i do love all those things!) but for one week we just get down and dirty and have the time of our lives! We surf (eat), play volleyball (eat), ride bikes (eat), play bocce ball and horseshoes (and eat…) We do call it “glamping” since we pack up just about everything but the kitchen sink, but at CAMP CONDREN you are are guaranteed good food, good friends, and good old fashioned-no frills fun…and if we are lucky, we get a good pic that we can use on our Christmas Card! I actually made a photo canvas of the surfboard shot for my daughter’s room. Hope you all had a wonderful summer, I know I’m still savoring the final days and cherishing the memories we made!
