Sunday Funday on Easter!

Easter was HOPPIN at my parents place this year…it was nice to not be entertaining for once, we literally just showed up! okay, a bottle of bubbly in hand
along with the FLIP FLOP BUNNY FAVORS for my nieces and nephews. I know my kids can never have two many pairs of thongs, and for $7.99 at Target, they make a darling gift.

I clearly get my whacky and wild entertaining gene from my mother who was handing out bunny ears to everyone as they pulled up in the driveway! Even my in-laws sported the ears and we all had such a great time watching the annual hunt
and celebrating my Great Grandmother’s 91st birthday. We all had a blast playing LADDER GOLF in the front yard…our new favorite past time, just usually not wearing bunny ears in the tournament

Adorable Easter Eggs!

Easter is just around the corner!
I love these spring days with my kids, dying eggs, and of course the Peeps!
I’ve been looking around for some unique, simple and fun decorating ideas that your kids will love.
Here are a few of my favorites!
bubble wrap!

This is really simple and fun! All you need is a few strips of bubble wrap packing sheets. Just apply a thin layer of a acrylic paint to the bubble wrap and roll the blown out egg on it. Wait a few minutes for it to dry before using another bubble wrap strip to add another color. Simple! Feel free to get funk with this one! I bet aluminum foil, or maybe even corrugated cardboard would make for fun designs.
decoupage!

This is so unique! For this you will need some Mod Podge (which you can get at any craft store) and some magazine or newspaper images you want to use. Cut out these images carefully. If you want to dye your egg a color before adding the decoupage, make sure the dye is dry before the next step. Use a paintbrush to Mod Podge the area of the egg you plan on coving with the image. Lay the image down and let it dry!

Monday FUNday!

Yesterday we had another round of Monday Funday here in the office! This time we went 80’s themed, and it was like, totally radical!

I think I wore the same outfit in highschool and now my 8 year old daughter is loving the skirt and earrings! Scary! Can you believe the 80s were so long ago??

Anyways, it got me thinking about how quickly time flies! 2010 will be behind us in the blink of an eye! April is almost here and we are working on our next edition of our “Life Planner” (launching in July!) so I think this is the perfect time to slash the prices of our 2010 edition.

Treats for my Sweets!

Everyone’s got a special diet these days! For some of the gals here in the office, the dietary restrictions they have are not by choice! Erin can’t have gluten, Tara is allergic to dairy and Amber is allergic to nuts. Now, when I think of Valentine’s Day, I think of delicious bad-for-me food like cakes and brownies, chocolates and the like. So I decided to show my Sweetie pies how much I love them by baking them some treats they’d all love and can ALL enjoy! No rubber tasting “blech’ treats here. All cut into hearts, dressed up in a mini cake box, and adorned with a customized Heart Gift Label to let them know I was especially thinking of them.

Erin also brought us some treats, too! And Kisses!

Monday FUNday: Jersey Shore style!

yesterday was absolutely hilarious! It was Tara’s turn to choose the theme, so she announced JERSEY SHORE! Having never seen the reality show, I needed some help from my young staff and neighborhood teenagers that follow the series. A “bump it” and a whooooole lotta “spray can tan” transformed us all into what we might look like if we lived in NJ! I love costume parties and theme days, any excuse to dress silly and bring fun & laughter to the office. HOWEVER, I may have overdone it this time. The spray tan is NOT coming off, not matter how hard I scrub! Looks like I will live the life of an oompa loompa for the next few days

The best part is we did a google search: Jersey Shore Nickname Generator to find out what our NJ names would be…try it, it’s too fun! MEET MY TEAM:

back to the blog! it’s monday funday!

wow, we are all finally coming up for air after our craziest Christmas season yet! In this tough economy, we never anticipated the flood that hit us and we are so thankful to all of you loyal customers and supporters for helping us survive 2009. Feeling stronger than ever, we are ready to dazzle you with soooo many new products in 2010…our creative juices are overflowing!!!

Today was the first of our “Monday Funday” theme days at the office. We worked long hours over the Holidays (and weekends too!) and we started playing “Spice Girls” to pump us up when the days were long. (“I tell you what I want, what I really really want…”) I surprised everyone with their own “Team Spice” t-shirt that I customized on SpiceGirls.com, each shirt in different customized NEON color combos! I even tortured Roy and got him a “Spice Boy” tee…such a trooper

Happy New Year to you all! We are so excited for all that the new year will bring…
