.. give me something good to eat!

Boo! In the spirit of All Hallows Eve tomorrow night,  I brought some goodies into the office for the gals! Chocolates, Sweettarts, Plastic Fangs and Gummy Fangs filled some candy bags I bought from Target. To top it off I made some Mini Folded Greetings (customized from our Boo! greetings) and stapled them shut. I made these a few days ago and have been bouncing up and down waiting to be able to pass them out! Hope your Halloween is just as sweet!

“dom” voyage!

I guess I could blame it all on “Matt.” After seeing the awesome YouTube clip called “Where the Hell is Matt?”, we all have a bit of the wanderlust around here. Although I feel so blessed to be happily married with two kids, I can’t help but remember the days when I was single and carefree and could be spontaneous and leave town at the drop of a hat. So, we are all living vicariously through Dominque (”dom”, my very first employee!), as she takes the summer off to spread her wings and travel the world. We had a “dom voyage” lunch on her last day, and I finally found the excuse I needed to buy the “everything bag” AS SEEN ON TV. The commercial/video is hilarious…the tiny bag can be packed full with everything AND possibly the kitchen sink. Perfect for the carefree traveler that she is, leaving the country for 3 months with nothing more than a backpack, and now a buxton bag!

celebrating our “first lady!”

die cut faces of each first lady and details of their influence on our nation

die cut faces of each first lady and details of their influence on our nation

My grandmother just turned 90 and we wanted to celebrate her in a very special way! I was inspired by a favorite find from years ago, a die cut “fandex” illustrating the first ladies of our nation.  It made me think how my grandma is OUR first lady, and although she is not famous, she is every bit as fabulous.  So, as her biggest “fans” (pardon the pun, had to say it…), we decided to create “face fans” from favorite photos of her past and present.  We scanned old photos as large as possible so the printed files could be “life size”, then cut out each face and taped them to large tongue depressers (popsicle sticks would be fine too.)  She was so surprised and delighted and the kiddos had a blast with the idea! I made a few sets of the fans so people could take them home as party favors….now, what will we do for her 100th birthday?? Hoping Willard Scott will be able to attend! ha!

Aaaaaaahhhhh! the spa!

Starting with a fun birthday party invitation, we created a spa-like feel with cucumbers and catchy text to set the tone for a fabulous day celebrating 7 at the spa!

we can customize any invitation to create a theme!

This year we created our own DAY SPA and celebrated my daughter’s seventh birthday at home. The girls had a blast doing their own mud masks, and I had friends and other moms help with the mani-pedis. Each girl got a a monogrammed spa robe and themed water bottle as a party favor. The square bottles from Fiji Water are ideal for our waterproof party labels! Of course, Kate had matching thank you notes to send all her pals with photos of the memorable day!
